About Amul
Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF Ltd) is
the largest Food Company marketing milk & milk products under the brand
names of AMUL and SAGAR with
an annual turnover exceeding Rs 38,550 crores.
GCMMF
is a unique organization. It’s a body created by Farmers, managed by competent
professionals serving a very competitive and challenging consumer market. It is
a true testimony of synergistic national development through the practice of
modern management methods.
The seeds of
this unusual saga were sown more than 74 years, a small town in the state of
Gujarat in western India. The exploitative trade practices followed by the
local trade cartel triggered off the cooperative movement. Angered by unfair
and manipulative practices followed by the trade, the farmers of the district
approached the great Indian patriot Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for a solution. He
advised them to get rid of middlemen and form their own co-operative, which
would have procurement, processing and marketing under their control.
In 1946, the
farmers of this area went on a milk strike refusing to be cowed down by the
cartel. Under the inspiration of Sardar Patel, and the guidance of leaders like
Morarji Desai and Tribhuvandas Patel, they formed their own cooperative in
1946.

in Accounting, Taxation, Financial Management and other allied areas. The

Roles and Responsibilities
The person will be
responsible for Branch Accounting functions. The major responsibilities
includes :
1.ensuring maintenance of Books of accounts
including finance management and Assets Accounting,
2.ensuring implementation of standard procedures
relating to arrival of stock,
3.maintenance of stock,
4. physical verification of stock and
Reconciliation with Book Stock
5.Invoicing
6.Reconciliation of Vendor/Supplier Ledger
7. Reconciliation of Inter Office
Balance8.ensuring proper compliance with all statutory formalities like service
tax, GST filing etc
9. coordinating with internal auditors
10. ensuring proper utilisation of budget, etc
11. Reconciliation of Vendor/Supplier Ledger &
Inter Office balance12.Preparation of Transporter bills
13. preparation of Journal vouchers and payments
14. Other accounts related works
15. Settling employee tour bills and other bills
